Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a limited range of tasks on the underbody systems of a variety of vehicles in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Packaging Rules
Total number of units = fourteen (14)- four (4) core units, plus
- ten (10) elective units, of which:
- all four (4) units in one of the Specialist Elective Groups A to C must be chosen
- of the remaining six (6) units required to make up the elective unit total:
- all six (6) may be from the general elective units listed below
- up to three (3) may be from a Certificate I qualification or above in this Training Package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
Elective units chosen must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid vocational outcome.
Specialisations:
Where relevant, specialisations can be used for this qualification in:
- General Underbody Repair
- Exhaust Repair
- Radiator and Cooling System Repair
The achievement of a specialisation will be identified on testamurs as follows:
- AUR21220 Certificate II in Automotive Underbody Technology (General Underbody Repair)
- AUR21220 Certificate II in Automotive Underbody Technology (Exhaust Repair)
- AUR21220 Certificate II in Automotive Underbody Technology (Radiator and Cooling System Repair)
General Underbody Repair specialisation
- Select all four (4) units in Specialist Elective Group A.
Exhaust Repair specialisation
- Select all four (4) units in Specialist Elective Group B.
Radiator and Cooling System Repair specialisation
- Select all four (4) units in Specialist Elective Group C.
