Packaging Rules
To attain a Advanced Diploma of Accounting seventeen (17) units must be achieved.
Four (4) industry core units (see under notes), PLUS
five (5) prerequisite units common to the Diploma of Accounting, PLUS
one (1) sectoral core unit, PLUS
seven (7) elective units.

INDUSTRY CORE UNITS:
** Learners to complete the four (4) industry core units listed below:

**Several of the core units listed below are common to Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma qualifications from the Financial Services Training Package. Those who have previously gained a Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma will have had all or some of these units assessed. If these core units have not been previously assessed they will need to be demonstrated prior to awarding of an Advanced Diploma qualification.

ELECTIVE UNITS:
Learners to complete at least seven (7) elective units. The elective units may be selected as follows:
All seven (7) units may be selected from the Financial Services Training Package at the Advanced Diploma level.
Of the seven (7) elective units, at least four (4) must be chosen from the list of accounting units below.
Of the seven (7) units, up to three (3) units at the Diploma level or above may be selected from this Training Package or other endorsed Training Packages.
The choice of electives should be appropriate to the level of integrity of the qualification and to the workplace outcomes it is designed to meet.
