This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to conduct maintenance of complex instrumentation equipment including, but not limited to, multi-loop equipment such as signal characterising, analogue control equipment, microprocessor controls such as programmable logic, laboratory and industrial analysers, ultrasonic and nucleonic equipment.Maintenance is an essential part of the ongoing care and upkeep of complex instrumentation equipment that is used to measure, monitor, automate and control processes and equipment in a power generation facility. Competency in this unit requires the ability to plan work, carry out complex instrumentation equipment maintenance and to report on all completed work tasks. Individuals will, in general, work under supervision in an electrical, electronic and/or mechanical equipment repair workshop or onsite.
