1. Plan and prepare to supervise electrical equipment operations and installations
  • 1.1 Access, interpret and electrical equipment and installation documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant
  • 1.2 Obtain, read, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements
  • 1.3 Identify, address and report potential hazards, risks and environmental issues and implement control measures
  • 1.4 Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work activity
  • 1.5 Communicate and coordinate activities with others prior to, during and on completion of the work activity
  • 1.6 Identify training needs and prepare a training plan
2. Implement site requirements
  • 2.1 Access, interpret and clarify conditions of electrical supply in planning site use of electrical energy
  • 2.2 Access, interpret and confirm currency of electrical plans and drawings
  • 2.3 Monitor safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment and installations
3. Monitor, adjust and report performance
  • 3.1 Manage activities so that potential hazards and inefficiencies with operation of electrical equipment are minimised
  • 3.2 Inspect all electrical equipment is maintained in a safe condition, record and report faults
  • 3.3 Access and interpret monthly electricity usage information and recommend improvements to reduce electrical usage
  • 3.4 Identify and recommend improvements for the operation of electrical equipment
  • 3.5 Inform individuals/teams of the results of improvements in operation of electrical equipment
  • 3.6 Process written records and reporting
