To equip students with broad-based skills in small business apparel
manufacturing to enable them to perform a range of roles under minimum
direction and supervision.

To produce graduates with a sound knowledge and practical skills required for
employment in the small business apparel industry and broader areas of apparel
manufacturing.

To provide training in product development for both the custom-made and
ready-to-wear sectors of the clothing industry.

To develop and extend the individual's technical skills and knowledge to meet
