Description
To provide the skills and knowledge required to work in the contemporary graphic design and multimedia industries. On successful completion of the course the student should be able to apply the principles of design to the development of design solutions - incorporating research, concept development and visualisation techniques - and demonstrate advanced skills in the use of colour and typography. The course will also provide the flexibilty to specialise in areas such as Multimedia Design, Advertising Design, Illustration, Packaging Design, Corporate Design and/or Animation.
Students will also be required to demonstrate competency in the application of small business and marketing principles, working as part of a team and managing a project. The course will provide students with sufficient practical competencies and skills that could lead to employment or further study.
