Certificate III in EAL (Employment) enables the development of English language speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and knowledge in the context of the Australian workplace. The qualification includes outcomes focusing on preparation for employment, employability skills, literacy skills including digital literacy skills, and awareness of basic workplace safety and work culture in the Australian context.

Certificate III in EAL (Employment) enables the development of English language speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and knowledge in the context of the Australian workplace. The qualification includes outcomes focusing on preparation for employment, employability skills, literacy skills including digital literacy skills, and awareness of basic workplace safety and work culture in the Australian context.

To be eligible for the award of the 22254VIC Certificate III in EAL (Employment), learners must successfully complete a total of 8 units comprising:
- 3 core units and
- 5 electives which can be selected from units not previously completed from the following:
- elective units listed in this qualification
- Certificate II, III and / or IV qualifications in this EAL Framework
- units / modules which are first packaged in AQF levels 2, 3 and / or 4 in other accredited curricula and / or endorsed training packages.
