Description
The purpose of this module is to provide competency based training in the
management of the workplace in an environment of industrial change, and award
re-structuring in a manner that will positively contribute to the effectiveness
and efficiency of the organisation.
The aim of the module is for participants to acquire the skills, knowledge,
attributes and professional practices that will contribute to the effective
management of their workplace in the context of contemporary industrial issues
and an environment of industrial change. As part of a suite of generic
management skills modules it is not designed for the industrial relations
functional specialist but for first level line management.

The methods by which evidence of achievement of competence by participants can
be assessed must be specified and provided to participants.
The demands of any assessment should be NO MORE than required to demonstrate
competency. Demonstration requires assessment of the task or project during
performance as well as evaluation of the product.

environment in which assessment may be logically, safely and economically
conducted.
