Description
To provide personnel involved with or interested in mining operations
(underground) with broad introductory mining operation skills and knowledge
including mine development access, layout, services and safety, rock stability
and ground support, loading and haulage, mine hoisting, compressed air, mine
ventilation, (air, air measurement, contaminants, temperature and humidity
control), and mineralisation assessment/sampling in a competency-based mode to
complement practical experience related to the needs of the mining industry

The demands of any assessment task should be NO MORE than required to
demonstrate competency. Demonstration requires assessment of the task
during performance as well as evaluation of the product.
