Description
This qualification provides an occupational outcome and a range of support tasks applicable to the majority of construction work sites.
Occupational titles may include:
builder's labourer.
The qualification has core units of competency that are required in many Certificate III qualifications. The elective options are structured to allow choice from a range of units aligned at Certificate III level and in total could provide meaningful credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship.
Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia modelCode of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCWHS1001Prepare to work safely in the construction industrymeets this requirement.

Packaging Rules
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must demonstrate competency in fifteen (15) units of competency:- Ten (10) core units
- Five (5) elective units.
The elective units are to be chosen as follows:
- up to five (5) units from the elective units below
- one (1) unit may be chosen from Certificate I, II or III qualifications in CPC Training Package or another current Training Package or accredited course, provided the integrity of the AQF alignment is ensured, and they contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
