Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who work in production-related roles in the textile, clothing and footwear industry. Individuals may be self-employed or work in small or large organisations. They use specialised knowledge of apparel or textile production processes and apply discretion, judgement and problem-solving skills to achieve work outcomes and take responsibility for their own work. Individuals may have some limited responsibility for the work of others.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Total number of units = eighteen (18)
- six (6) core units
- twelve (12) elective units, consisting of:
- at least six (6) units from Group A
- six (6) additional units from Groups A, B, any endorsed Training Package or accredited course - all units must be relevant to the work outcome.

Note: Where prerequisite units are identified they must be counted in the total number of units required for achievement of the qualification.

Units selected from other Training Packages and accredited courses must not duplicate units available within this qualification.
