Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of mobile plant machinery in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Total number of units = Thirty six (36)- Nine (9) core units, plus
- Twenty seven (27) elective units, of which:
- all units in one of the Specialist Elective Groups A to C must be selected:
- Group A: Mobile Plant Equipment
- Group B: Forklift
- Group C: Elevating Work Platform
Specialisation - AUR31220 Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (Mobile Plant Equipment)
- Nine (9) core units, plus
- Twenty seven (27) elective units, of which:
- Select all thirteen (13) units from Group A Mobile Plant Equipment, plus.
- Of the remaining units required to make up the elective unit total:
- all may be from the Specialist Elective Groups and general elective units listed below
- up to six (6) may be from a Certificate II qualification or above in this Training Package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course
Specialisation - AUR31220 Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (Forklift)
- Nine (9) core units, plus
- Twenty seven (27) elective units, of which:
- Select all nine (9) units from Group B Forklift, plus.
- Of the remaining units required to make up the elective unit total:
- all may be from the Specialist Elective Groups and general elective units listed below
- up to six (6) may be from a Certificate II qualification or above in this Training Package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course
Specialisation - AUR31220 Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology (Elevating Work Platform)
- Nine (9) core units, plus
- Twenty seven (27) elective units, of which:
- Select all eleven (11) units from Group C Elevating Work Platform, plus.
- Of the remaining units required to make up the elective unit total:
- all may be from the Specialist Elective Groups and general elective units listed below
- up to six (6) may be from a Certificate II qualification or above in this Training Package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course
Elective units chosen must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid vocational outcome.
The achievement of a specialisation will be identified on testamurs as follows:
