Description
This qualification reflects the role of a skilled operator working in bridge construction and maintenance in the civil construction industry. The individual applies a broad range of skills in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. The individual may provide theoretical advice and support a team.

Packaging Rules
Successful completion of twenty five (25) Units of Competency made up of:- fifteen (15) mandatory units, and
- ten (10) elective units of which:
- at least nine (9) must come from the electives listed in the RII31109 qualification outline including at least two (2) bridge maintenance units at Certificate III level (CBM3)
- up to one (1) unit may come from Certificate II, III or IV level from this or any other Training Package
Units chosen must be relevant to the job function.
Care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisites specified within imported units, or units chosen as electives, are compiled with.
