Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks when repairing and maintaining the body of cars, heavy vehicles and other vehicles in the automotive service and repair sector.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Packaging Rules
Total number of units = Thirty-one (31)Candidates must complete one of the following specialisations:
Specialisation - AUR32120 Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology (Vehicle Body Repair)
- Seventeen (17) core units, plus
- Fourteen (14) elective units, of which:
- eight (8) units must be selected from Group A: Vehicle Body Repair, plus
- the remaining six (6) units may be selected from:
- the Specialist Elective Groups and/or the General Elective Units listed below or
- up to five (5) units maybe from a Certificate II qualification or above in this Training package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
Specialisation - AUR32120 Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology (Vehicle Body Restoration)
- Seventeen (17) core units, plus
- Fourteen (14) elective units, of which:
- eight (8) units must be selected from Group B: Vehicle Body Restoration, plus
- the remaining six (6) units may be selected from:
- the Specialist Elective Groups and/or the General Elective Units listed below or
- up to five (5) units may be from a Certificate II qualification or above in this Training package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
Specialisation - AUR32120 Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology (Heavy Vehicle Body and Chassis Repair)
- Seventeen (17) core units, plus
- Fourteen (14) elective units, of which:
- eight (8) units must be selected from Group C: Heavy Vehicle Body and Chassis Repair, plus
- the remaining six (6) units may be selected from:
- the Specialist Elective Groups and/or the General Elective Units listed below or
- up to five (5) units may be from a Certificate II qualification or above in this Training package or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
Elective units chosen must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the overall integrity of the AQF alignment, not duplicate the outcome of another unit chosen for the qualification, and contribute to a valid vocational outcome.
The achievement of a specialisation will be identified on testamurs as follows:

Traineeships and Apprenticeships
Part-time is defined as a minimum of 20 hours per week.
For elite athletes the minimum hours of employment are 7.5 hours per week, which can be averaged over six month periods.
