modes including classroom based, teleconferencing and interactive video.

Strategies should be selected to reflect the nature of the learning outcomes
and the needs of the participants. They should include experiential learning.

Workplace Writing
This module is designed to help the writers reach competence in collecting,
planning, organising information and using language as well as the writing
skills covered by the NCSP Module Writing Skills for Work. Collecting
information presupposes effective reading and listening skills.

“Writing”, in this module, means conveying a message to a reader in order to
produce a specific response in that reader in a given context. That message is
in the form of a handwritten/typed/printed document. Writing skills,
therefore, are all those skills needed to produce such a document. Competen

The demands of any assessment task should be NO MORE than required to
demonstrate competency. Demonstration requires assessment of the task during
performance as well as evaluation of the product.

Where practicable, assessment tasks should relate to the participants'
vocational focus.
